In the MUSIC Manager how can I include or exclude a playlist from playing when in random mode in my car?

Generally, a "magazine random" or ="all disc random" function on your radio will randomize all the songs on your DMS cartridge. If you want to include or exclude a playlist from playing while in random (because it may be inappropriate, or any other reason), you have the option to do so.

Dock the DMS cartridge and open the device view of the PhatNoise MUSIC Manager.

Right click on a playlist and then check or uncheck the "Include this disc in magazine random" box:

Don't forget to save and eject when you are done!

If you wish to view your playlists outside the PMM, insert your DMS, go to My Computer, open the PHTDTA partition and open the ".db" files with a text editor. These files are tab delimited, sorted by album, artist, or genre.

You may also open the files with Excel. Copy the file and save it to your computer's local hard drive. Right-click the file and choose "Rename". Replace ".db" with ".xls". You may now open the file in Excel.
